I was so impressed, even later to find out that the food is so amazingly FRESH (all Vegan) and you wouldn't even know it! After 4 courses we were really full.We invite you to an unforgettable experience at Blackout Restaurant. they brought out the Rachel Collins Cocktail which is my new FAV drink and then each course as we went along. Then we were given locker keys to put our belongings away - crazy being without my phone for an hour LOL but it happened and I loved it! We were carefully walked into the dining room, the music was really good, the side conversations were funny and interesting. Also make sure to ask for your food to be served fresh and hot and if you hate it, ask for something else.supposedly, per the owners response to other reviews they should do something about it.īlackout Dining in the Dark was a really unique experience unlike anything I've ever tried before! I admit, I was a little nervous to dine in pitch black territory but it was such a breeze and I would do it again in a heartbeat!! From the moment we got there, we were greeted by a happy receptionist and server (they were so kind!) and we were asked immediately about food allergies, etc. Try them at lunch time when its cheaper and you don't have to pay, or commit to 6 tasteless plates but you still get the same experience. ![]() So, if you are still game to give it a go, understand you are paying for the experience and not the food. I can't recall having such awful food anywhere else in the recent past.but they out done themselves here. ![]() Everyone in our party was still game and had enjoyed vegetarian meals before though we are all carnivores. Ever wondered what it is like to eat in the dark Dining in the Dark is a gastronomical experience that invites you to explore the full potential of your taste buds in a uniquely entertaining atmosphere. We were aware of this going in, not because it is marketed as such but because other reviewers have complained about the lack of transparency. 45 minutes in we really couldn't leave soon enough. The dinner conversation halfway through the meal was about where we were going to eat dinner at afterwards. No one in our party of 6 finished or enjoyed the food. Think just slightly warm, limp, bland, diabetic vegetarian leftovers that you are eating in the dark and paying out the nose for. Sounds fun, right?! The concept is something pretty cool but the food was truly terrible.
